Become a bingo beast in Beastie Bingo!

You’re a cute beastie and you love bingo! There’s a twist though - in this beastie world, bingo is not just about crossing off random numbers. Instead, to check entries on your board, you have to collect a bunch of items that, conveniently, fall from the sky! However, each location you visit only spawns a certain set of items, so try to optimize your "raids". After your 10th raid, it’s all over. Oh, and please don’t mistake those hazardous skulls for goodie bags…

Beastie Bingo is a strange combination of an arcady collect-a-thon and, well, bingo:

  • Cuteness overload: Play one of a dozen beasties in quick matches of 5-10 minutes!
  • Risk vs. reward: Choose a new raid every 30 seconds from from a randomized selection with more rewarding raids also being the most dangerous!
  • Bingo core: Fulfilling 3 quests in the same row or column generates new quests and thus more scoring potential!
  • Style points: Get valuable raid re-rolls for building double bingos!
  • Climb the ladder: Fulfill enough quests to reach your target score and to win a match and get a more difficult goal to aim for next time!

Fabian Fischer created the game in a personal game jam, inspired by Twitch Rivals bingo challenges. It is a design experiment meant to hint at how using a "gamified" method for scoring and goal generation (in this case a bingo board) can add an additional dimension of decision-making, even to an otherwise very straight-forward core gameplay loop.

Oh man, this soooo fun!

Needed to play 3 times until I got the gist of it, now I can win pretty easily. Very well done, re-mixing different game genres to create something new.

Keep it up!

Oh thank you so much for playing this little experiment and the kind words! :)
